Ash and Gold
The third piece in the Kintsugi series, dedicated to restoration and acceptance — both internal and external. Half of the girl’s face is covered in something like ash, from which light emerges: the gaze of a past shaped by pain, and a future — pure and childlike.
Kintsugi, the Japanese art of repairing pottery with gold, becomes here a metaphor for healing the human soul. Even what we’ve been through becomes precious, and the cracks become pathways for light.
