Root and Crown. From Earth to Stars
This artwork expresses a philosophical vision of legacy, memory, and generational connection. Two children stand beside a tree whose roots emerge from a skeleton — a symbol of the ancestor who is gone, yet continues to nourish life.
The gold halo behind the tree evokes the sacred — like a sun or a nimbus — while the ornate patterns in their clothes and roots carry traces of the past, the inner glow of experience and inheritance. The skeleton is not frightening — it is a relic, an ancient foundation from which light grows.
This piece balances light and shadow, life and death, childhood and eternity — inviting the viewer to reflect: what in us belongs to those beneath us?
